History of Soft Stands

The Soft Stand was invented and patented by Eric Lundberg in 2008. Eric was a nurseryman by profession. He played the horn in several local concert bands and a woodwind ensemble. He was also active with performing on baroque and renaissance recorders. Terri was a retired choral music teacher. She did some of the sewing.
All of the work on the stands was done by the Lundbergs. They bought kiln dried rough-cut lumber at a local sawmill and machined it to the required shapes and dimensions. They used USA made components whenever possible. They took great care in every step of construction to ensure that each Soft Stand was attractive, sturdy, reliable, long lasting, and most important, a soft stand that will never dent or scratch your expensive instrument.
